The Monks Park joins tourist entertainment with an educational component in education and environmental awareness, making the park visitors have a fun and useful experience.
The Park is located on Quinta das Freiras in the town of Alcobaça and consists of two parts:
Environmental Park and Cultural Park that reaches the public through a collection of equipment and activities that aim to create unique experiences for tourists, but also recreates the lifestyle of monks of the Cistercian Order.

The “Nuns Farm” is one of the most visible areas of monastic presence, because it was here that the monks originally settled – during 22 years – a small community to prepare the foundation and construction of the Monastery of Santa Maria de Alcobaça.

As you can see, it is based around this historic and cultural value that the Monks Park will seat its thematic, to recreate through entertainment a exposure local and tourist participation in activities that will recreate the way of living of the monks of the Cistercian Order.
