The only nightly maritime procession in Portugal, which joins two dozen illuminated boats and hundreds of fishermen, will take place on the 2nd August in Peniche.

These celebrations are in honor of Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem, patron saint of fishermen and will happen between 2nd and 5th August 2014, in Peniche.

One of the most grandious festivals of the West Region is organized by the Parish Community, with the support of the Municipality of Peniche, who organizes an event full of tradition, beauty and meaning, which promotes the county and helps its people to remember and feel intensively the place of birth or the place to live.

Its grandiosity is recognized by thousands of visitors that come to Peniche on those days.
